Terms of use
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the InvestiLog iPhone app and web app, run by Jordan McDonald (InvestiLog) (“we”). By signing in you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how your information is handled.
Your account
- InvestiLog is invite-only. An administrator creates your account.
- Keep your password private and use InvestiLog only for your own work. Tell us straight away if someone else may have used your account.
- We can disable or delete an account that breaks these terms, is no longer needed, or puts the service or other users at risk.
Using InvestiLog
- You are responsible for what you record and for having a lawful reason to record it. InvestiLog does not make any surveillance lawful, and does not give legal advice.
- Do not use InvestiLog to break the law, harass anyone, store material you have no right to hold, interfere with the service, or try to reach another person’s records.
- Do not copy, reverse engineer or resell the app or its content.
Your records
Your records remain yours. You give us permission to store, sync, process and display them so the service can work for you, including sending emails you request and showing records to the people you share them with. You can export your records and ask us to delete them at any time.
Sharing
When you share a case or log, the people you choose can read it, and can read its images if you include them. You are responsible for who you share with. Stopping a share takes effect on the other person’s next sync.
Working offline and keeping backups
The app is built to keep working without a connection and to upload your changes when it can. Changes made on a phone are not safe on our servers until they have synced, so connect regularly and check the sync status. Keep your own copy of anything essential, such as an exported report. Adding case images needs a connection, and images may be at most 4 MB.
Availability
We work to keep InvestiLog running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features, and will try to give notice of changes that matter.
Limits on our responsibility
InvestiLog is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost records, lost profit, or indirect loss, including loss caused by an unsynced phone, a lost or damaged device, or the use of your records in a legal matter. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Ending your use
You can stop using InvestiLog at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. We may suspend or end your access as described above. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as the limits on our responsibility) do so after your account ends.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will show the date at the top. Using InvestiLog after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the law of Australia.
